STITCH! CRAFTS & CLASSES

Stitch! is a community enterprise launched in May 2019 aimed at satisfying the needs of the fast-growing army of crafters

Stitch Crafts & Classes! - No 1 for creativity in Palmers Green!

Our community enterprise craft hub and class venue.

Stitch! was launched in May 2019 aimed at satisfying the needs of the fast-growing army of crafters, sewers, makers from beginners to experts. We run crafting workshops ranging from learning to use a sewing machine for total beginners and gain sewing skills to dressmaking for improvers, patchwork, knitting, crochet, macramé and mosaic as well as sell fabric, haberdashery and crafting supplies.

The idea of Stitch! was born when Rodwins in Southgate closed its doors in December 2018. The local crafting community in Southgate were devastated so Suzanne, Karen and Carol came up with plans to provide haberdashery, fabrics and knitting supplies with the addition of crafting classes for all ages.

We have discovered an amazing creative community in Palmers Green and Southgate who are excited about Stitch! and are looking forward to running workshops and helping in the shop, we are always on the lookout for volunteers who share our passion for crafting.

Meet the creatives behind our company

The Stitch! premises are currently based at 2 Hazelwood Lane, Palmers Green, N13 5EX since January 2023. We were situated in the Post Office at 364 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, N13 before this and we originally were based as a pop-up in the former Grout’s draper’s shop, which served the Palmers Green community for more than 60 years.

We plan to provide work experience for young people wanting to develop a career in creative crafts or retail and, in time, we hope to offer apprenticeships to help young people develop their careers in a sustained way.
